We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Video Sound Engineer to join our team. As a Video Sound Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality audio production for our video projects. If you have a passion for sound design, extensive knowledge of audio equipment, and a keen ear for detail, we would love to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the production team to understand the audio requirements and objectives for each project
  • Set up and operate audio recording equipment, including microphones, mixers, and audio software
  • Conduct sound checks, adjust levels, and monitor audio quality during filming to capture clear and high-quality sound
  • Edit and mix recorded audio to enhance clarity, balance, and overall audio quality
  • Sync audio with video footage, ensuring seamless integration and synchronization
  • Enhance audio with sound effects, Foley, and background music to elevate the overall video production
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to audio equipment and recordings

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Video Sound Engineer or similar role, demonstrating expertise in recording, editing, and mixing audio for video projects
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard audio recording and editing software, such as Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of sound design principles, audio post-production techniques, and best practices in capturing high-quality sound on set
  • Excellent knowledge of audio equipment, including microphones, mixers, and audio interfaces
  • A keen ear for detail, with the ability to identify and address audio imperfections, such as background noise, echo, or distortion
  • Familiarity with video editing software and the ability to work collaboratively with video editors to achieve seamless audio-video integration
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues and find effective solutions in a fast-paced production environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the production team and ensure the audio vision aligns with the overall creative objectives
  • A degree or certification in audio engineering, sound design, or a related field is preferred
